Uzbekistan-Japan Center (UJC) with cooperation of Republic Association of Deaf people has organized a unique social project- computer courses for deaf and hearing impaired people in the end of January 2005. More than 1300 listeners with hearing problems have already graduated 4 level based education.

Main purpose of these courses is to provide deaf and hearing impaired people opportunity to learn free of charge courses of computer literacy, office software, graphic editors, fundamentals of network and web designing. This knowledge can help to our graduates in finding jobs or changing current workplace to more perspective. Teachers are graduates of these courses, who have passed special teaching trainings and they can easily make a good communication with students. Teaching method has no other analogs in the country.

During the training special demonstrational system is used to communicate with listeners. Lecturer writes the content of the lesson at the same time adds demonstrational actions on computer for visual explanation. Trainers are able to see lecturer’s all actions on the special monitors installed near each workstation. There are two teachers participate in the lesson: first teacher is main lecturer, second teacher works as an assistant and helps to each participant personally in cases when difficulties appear.
